Privacy notice

This notice describes what this site actually does, as built. It is kept in sync with the code.

What the site shows

Percentages about a personal portfolio, derived on the backend from private records. No personal data of visitors is needed to show them.

Data flows

  • Page delivery. Vercel (hosting) processes request metadata such as IP address, user agent and URL to serve the page and keeps edge and serverless logs under its own retention. Legal basis: legitimate interest in operating the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); this is strictly necessary to deliver it.
  • Portfolio data. The browser fetches the percent-only snapshot from Convex (US region) over HTTPS or a WebSocket. Only connection metadata is involved.
  • Analytics, opt-in only. With your consent, PostHog EU Cloud receives page views, range/benchmark/filter control events and coarse device data. No SDK loads, no storage is written and no request is made before consent. Legal basis: consent (§25 TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). No autocapture, session replay, surveys or exception capture.
  • Consent record. One localStorage entry holds your choice and its timestamp. It is strictly necessary to remember the choice and needs no consent itself.

Not used: cookies before consent, cookieless or hashed tracking, fingerprinting, third-party fonts or CDNs at runtime, embedded widgets, session replay.

Your choice

Analytics is not configured in this build; nothing is collected.

Withdrawing consent stops capture, resets the analytics client and removes its local storage.

Retention

Hosting logs follow Vercel's retention policy. Analytics events, if consented, are kept in PostHog EU for at most 12 months. The consent record stays in your browser until you clear it.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. You may complain to a supervisory authority; for Berlin this is the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit. Requests go to alec@a3.lol.
